01 - Research

Research pulled from three major fields: Marketing, Graphic Design, and UX. The backbone of my marketing research came from Luke Sullivan's "Hey Whipple", a comprehensive look at how to sell a brand through effective copy and visual supplements. Design research includes studies of logo and color theory, analyzing the colloquialisms associated with respective shapes, types, and colors. UX research pulled from concepts such as Fitts Law and Object-Oriented Design vs. Task-Focused Design.

Two core concepts shown above involved contrast and object theory. Albert Josef's theory of contrast mandated that two colors, alongside their different hues, have differing saturations to decrease eye strain. Object-Oriented mappings are illustrated through a morning routine, where tasks are first associated with their objects.
